Traditional Beef Chili

A hearty, flavorful chili made for parties

Rachael Ray’s Classic Beef Chili is epitomized comfort food, loaded with rich flavors and spices-good for a cozy night in or game day.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cans (15 oz) kidney beans, drained

1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional toppings: sour cream, cheese, green onions

Instructions:

Brown ground beef in large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until the onion and garlic have softened.

Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Cook for one minute until fragrant.

Add kidney beans and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.

Serve hot with your preferred toppings.
