BIO: Born and raised in Mexico, Pati Jinich comes from a background of accomplished chefs and food maniacs. Maybe this describes her obsession with food? Before she became a chef, she was a political analyst but realized that she loved food too much to not have time to cook dinners.
After teaching Mexican cooking to friends and family, she became a production assistant for the PBS food series, New Tastes from Texas hosted by Chef Stephan Pyles, Diana Kennedy and Patricia Quintana. Pati Jinich and her family picked up their things and moved to Washington D.C. where she was a political analyst. The more time she spent thinking about food, the more she thought politics was not for her. In 2007, promoted by the Director of the Mexican Cultural Institute, Pati launched Mexican Table.
Mexican Table; a culinary program consists of a series of cooking demonstrations, tasting dinners and workshops. She uses her knowledge of Mexican cooking to help familiarize people with its ingredients and cooking techniques. Pati Jinich is available for cooking demonstrations, hosting, and corporate appearances.
