BIO: Chef John Somerville developed his appreciation of farm fresh ingredients growing up in Ohio. After graduating from the University of Michigan and earning a degree in engineering, he quickly realized he wanted to pursue a culinary dream.
In 1994, he teamed with The Lark as a Garde Manger, and eventually made it to his current position as Chef de Cuisine. John Somerville received two James Beard Nominations for Best Chef: Great Lakes and has been acknowledged as one of the best chefs in the greater Detroit area.
